Hardwood Floor Refinishing, Repair, Restoration
Take a look at your worn floors and imagine them refinished, revived, shining and clean of stains. We make that happen for you. See our favorite Before & After photos here.
We’ve resurfaced floors in homes all over Reno and Tahoe — homes originally built with wood floors. Some of these floors have spent 40 years smashed under wall-to-wall carpeting, with nails, tacks, damp and worn areas throughout. No matter what the shape of the floor, though, most of today’s homeowners are thrilled to discover they have hardwood floors. It’s the best flooring there is.
We resurface scuffed, gouged, scratched and beat-up floors of all kinds, reclaiming the floor’s original beauty.
There is a rich history behind the use of hardwood floors. No matter what the history of your hardwood floors, what type of wood or grain, Artisan craftsmen will restore the beauty they were meant to display.
UNFINISHED HARDWOOD FLOORS
These can be both solid and engineered, but both kinds need to be finished entirely on site. They come in varying lengths and widths. Sanding and finishing can take anywhere from a few days to a week depending on the floor size, stain, and number of top finish coats required. Generally, finishes used are oil or water-based.
Our highest priority is to give you a beautiful floor, but at the same time protect the rest of your home. So whether you have chosen finished or unfinished floors, we will section off other areas and furniture in your home, to prevent sanding dust from spreading.
It’s fairly new technology and very efficient. Think of it as an elaborate vacuum system that draws most of the dust generated by the sanding through a precisely designed filtration unit and into a sealed container.
That said, it’s not a completely flawless process, just a cleaner one than the traditional method of sanding a floor.
Sanding and refinishing your hardwood floors is necessary in order to preserve their quality and beauty.
